Arcana - Jack Harte

This book has been written in a form designed for publication on the Internet and will be launched at the Irish Writers' Centre, Dublin, and in translation from various centres around the world, on UNESCO World Book Night, 23 April, 2013. Inspired by the Tarot, it is written in the style of the old heroic sagas, but with anti-heroic intent, and is pitched against the 22 images of the Major Arcana.

New Tarot - Henry Sharpe

New Tarot by Henry J Sharpe is a graphic re-interpretation of the Major Arcana in a modern idiom. Being a book of graphics, it transcends language. It will be launched alongside Jack Harte's Arcana on World Book Night, 23 April.

Henry Sharpe was born in Dublin and has lived in Wicklow since 1989. He studied at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, where he was a lecturer in drawing from 1980 to 2010. He has worked as a freelance illustrator and book designer and is the author of a number of books on art, including monographs on the painters Jonathan Wade and Michael Kane. He has participated in a number of open submission exhibitions over the past 30 years, including Living Art, Oireachtas, Independent Artists, and National Portrait Exhibition (Commendation).
